Wall of Honor

On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) held a ceremony to dedicate a permanent display recognizing department employees and loved ones who serve our country through active duty military service and reserves, and military veterans now employed by FDOE.

Located in the Turlington Building, the Wall of Honor will serve as a reminder to FDOE employees that even though everyone is intensely working to better the lives of our students, the courageous men and women risking their lives to defend our rights and freedoms should never be forgotten. “As you pass through the lobby each day and see the Wall of Honor display, I hope you will take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women honored here. We owe them our deepest gratitude and thanks,” said the ceremony’s host, Florida Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart.
