State Funding for Districts
School district workforce education programs are funded through a combination of state appropriations and tuition and fees. State funding allocations are usually included in two appropriation categories in the General Appropriations Act (GAA) each year.
The GAA includes proviso language which specifies conditions for the funds. The 2023 General Appropriations Act (Chapter 2023-239, Laws of Florida), can be accessed here. See specific appropriations 7 and 114 for the Workforce Development Funds and specific Appropriation 111, 117, 118 and 125 for the Performance-based Incentive Funds.
