High School Resources

Distance learning may be a welcome change for some High School students – they get to work independently on their mobile devices, what could be better? – or it could be a challenge for those who excel in the classroom. Below is a list of resources to help all students no matter where they fall on that spectrum. You will also find information about the ACT and SAT testing scheduled for this summer.

We keep adding to this list and updating testing information so please click here to see if anything new has been added to the below.

There’s also a list for all grades here.

A list of resources for our High School learners:

ACT Information

ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date. View the full Q&A, here.

The free ACT resources outlined below are part of ACT’s commitment to serving community needs during this challenging time. The resources are adaptable for use in the home, through online learning and in workforce settings.

The resources are live and available now to students and parents, educators, job seekers, and for education and workforce advocates.

ACT Digital Learning Resources:

One of the resources, icurio, will allow the classrooms in your districts to have free access to over 360,000 vetted, tagged and maintained digital learning resources. Click here to learn more about icurio!

SAT Information

In response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19), College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled. Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds. In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers. For more information about the SAT, click here.

SAT School Day 3 (April 14) and SAT School Day 4 (April 28):

  • College Board is unable to provide the April SAT School Day administrations on April 14th and 28th.
  • Schools in your district may have received pre-administration materials but did not receive any test materials. Schools may destroy/recycle the pre-administration materials at their convenience.

June SAT administration cancelled:

  • Planning additional weekend administrations between August and December
  • They will offer an ONLINE SAT, if schools do not reopen in the fall

College Board knows students are anxious about how the coronavirus crisis will affect the college application process, including taking the SAT. They are committed to being flexible and innovative to give all students opportunities to test as soon as the situation allows. College Board will share more details as soon as possible, but today they offer the following information:

  • College Board will add SAT test administrations in response to canceled administrations and be flexible in making the SAT available in school and out of school as soon as the public health situation allows. College Board is looking at a range of creative solutions to address increased demand.
  • Throughout, College Board will continue to place a special focus on students with fee waivers and those with accommodations. In addition, they will share more details as soon as possible about how to get additional fee waiver codes and benefits for students who were not able to participate in the spring administrations.
  • If, unfortunately, schools cannot reopen this fall, College Board is pursuing innovative means to ensure all students can still take the SAT this fall. We'll provide updates about those plans if they become necessary.
