Governor Scott Honors Students for Saving Seven in Overturned Vehicle

Davie, Fla. - Today, Governor Rick Scott awarded 21 students from Western High School and limo driver Danny Izzi with the Florida Highway Patrol Certificate of Appreciation for helping to save seven people from an overturned vehicle.

Governor Scott said, "I am honored to award these students with the Florida Highway Patrol Certificate of Appreciation. These students demonstrated great bravery in helping their fellow Floridians and they deserve the appreciation of everyone in the Sunshine State."

The students honored today include Brittany Carel, Amanda Santos, Nicholas Rivero, Austin Katz, Lisa Soto, Sydney Cardenas, Ethan Lewis, Frank Tucker, Krista Pulcini, Amanda Alonso, Ashley Wolf, Cali Wilde, Bryan Depasquale, Elizabeth Lax, Daniel Maitland, Alexa Hammond, Holly Matthai, Alena Abouhana, Alejandra Inciarte, Peter Kim and Alex Norena.
