Commissioner to Honor Digital Art Contest Winner

Tallahassee, Fla., May 30, 2013 - Commissioner of Education Dr. Tony Bennett will honor Deltona High School student Emmanuel Ramirez at a presentation tomorrow for winning the Florida Department of Education's recent digital art contest.

After the presentation, Volusia County Schools Superintendent Dr. Margaret Smith, Principal Susan Freeman and digital design instructor John Scott will give Commissioner Bennett a tour of the high school's digital design computer lab.

Emmanuel's winning design (PDF, 911KB), which beat out hundreds of submissions, can be found attached to this release and on the FDOE's Facebook page.
