Department of Education Will Host Meeting to Connect Districts in Move to Common Core
Tallahassee, Fla., March 7, 2013 - The Florida Department of Education will hold a meeting tomorrow in Orlando to aid educators and school districts in implementing the Common Core State Standards. The "Transitioning to the Common Core" Community of Practice meeting hosted by Commissioner of Education Dr. Tony Bennett will feature presentations and discussions on curriculum development, best practices and lessons learned, and support for educators during the transition led by staff from six school districts throughout the state.
