“I commend the members of the State Board of Education for their action yesterday in naming Kathleen Shanahan and Roberto Martinez as their new Chair and Vice Chair, respectively. These long-term education advocates have been at the heart of our efforts to improve Florida’s education system and their commitment to the needs of all children shines through in every decision they make. Their selfless dedication and passion for their work is inspiring, and I see only continued success for our state and our young people under their expert leadership.”
