State Board of Education to Meet in Highlands County
Tallahassee, Fla., January 7, 2015 – The State Board of Education will meet next week at the Highlands County School Board office in Sebring.
Highlights from the meeting include:
- Workshop on school improvement
- Approval of achievement levels for the Civics end-of-course assessment
- Approval of teacher preparation programs
- Approval of career and technical education program performance reporting
- Approval of scholarship funding organizations
- Approval of standards for mid-year promotion of retained third graders
