First Lady Ann Scott to Visit Madison Street Academy as the Summer Literacy Adventure Winning School
Tallahassee, Fla., November 30, 2016 – Tomorrow, First Lady Ann Scott will visit Madison Street Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. The school is the winner of the 2016 Summer Literacy Adventure, with the entire student body participating in reading nearly 12,000 books over the summer. During her visit, the First Lady will read to students and share her love of reading and literacy.
The First Lady’s Summer Literacy Adventure challenged students to read as many books as possible during the summer break. First Lady Ann Scott visited state parks and encouraged children to keep reading while they enjoyed the natural beauty of Florida’s state parks.
