Public Records Requests

The Florida Department of Education does not maintain student records. Those records are kept in the school district where the student last attended. Student records are not considered ‘public’. You may be required to provide identification and a signed release.

At any time, an individual has the right to inspect and/or copy public records. Please refer to Chapter 119 in the Florida Statutes for additional information on fees associated with public records requests. For information about obtaining public records, please call 850-245-9759 or send an email to PRR@fldoe.org.
