Career-Themed Course Registration Resources

School districts are annually required to register career-themed courses offered in secondary school. Industry certifications earned in career-themed courses are eligible for additional full-time equivalent (FTE) membership in the FEFP calculation.

CAPE Pathway (0.3 Value)

Effective for the 2024-25 reporting, districts may report a student completing a CAPE Pathway for a 0.3 value for the Academic Acceleration Options Supplemental funding calculation in the 2025-26 Florida Education Finance Program.  As specified in section 1011.62(17), Florida Statutes, “A value of 0.3 is assigned to a high school student who completes at least three courses and an industry certification in a single career and technical education program or program of study and who exits with standard high school diploma.”  The list of eligible programs, courses and industry certifications are adopted in Rule 6A-6.0576, F.A.C.
