Florida-Specific Youth Survey
The Florida Department of Education administered a Florida-specific youth survey in 2023. The Florida-specific youth survey aligns to the required instruction for Health Education including Resiliency Education, Civic and Character Education, and Life Skills Education, which will inform enhanced alignment of services, support, and instruction to better meet the needs of our students.
Timeline
Fall 2022
- Florida Department of Education issued a memo (PDF) to solicit workgroup members
- Workgroup is created and meets to develop the survey and process for administering the survey
Winter 2022
- Workgroup continues meeting to develop the survey and process for administering the survey
Spring 2023
- Survey testing and refinement
- Finalization of survey items and administration process
- Survey administered to Florida students throughout the state
Summer 2023-Winter 2024
- Survey results compiled and analyzed
- Survey results published by the Florida Department of Education
Spring 2025
- Florida-Specific Youth Survey administration
