Registered Apprenticeship Programs

Registered apprenticeship is a proven strategy for building a skilled, competitive workforce that meets the needs of employers while creating pathways to rewarding careers for individuals. The Florida Department of Education, Office of Apprenticeship is the official state apprenticeship agency, authorized by the .S. Department of Labor. As such, we oversee and support the development of high-quality, industry-driven registered apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs that strengthen our economy and communities. Through strategic partnerships with employers, local educational agencies and local workforce development boards, we ensure that apprenticeship remains a trusted, effective model for talent development and career advancement.

Apprenticeship Transparency Tool

Pursuant to House Bill 681 (2025), codified in section 446.032, Florida Statutes, the Florida Department of Education has developed and maintains the Apprenticeship and Preapprenticeship Funding Transparency Tool. This online resource promotes transparency and accountability by presenting historical funding amounts searchable by source of funds, school district, or Florida College System institution for the preceding three fiscal years. The Apprenticeship and Preapprenticeship Funding Transparency Tool can be accessed through the provided link: DCAE APPR TRANSPARENCY TOOL
