K-12 Student Assessment Technical Reports

Technical reports document the methods used in the item and test development process, psychometric properties of test forms, summaries of student results, and evidence supporting the validity and reliability of tests and the interpretations made from the scores. Since demonstration of validity and reliability is an ongoing process, these manuals are annually updated at the end of each year’s assessment cycle and synthesize various strands of evidence to build a coherent validity and reliability argument. During this process, the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (American Educational Research Association, American Psychological Association, & National Council on Measurement in Education, 2014), is used as a foundation for guiding and developing the necessary evidence. Appendices for technical reports and the technical reports not listed here are available upon request by contacting the Office of Assessment at Assessment@fldoe.org.
